Passiflora incarnata x cinnicata (Passion Flower)

Passion Flower – P. incarnata x cinnicata

Size: 3-5 in.
Native region: Brazil, Paraguay, Northern Argentina

Passion Flower is worth growing for its blossoms and fruit. Butterflies love it. It will cover a trellis in a season and once established needs little attention. Individual blossoms only last a day, but the plant blooms from April-November and may continue year-round if conditions are right. Fruits ripen about 80 days after flowering. Eat the juicy pulp right away or wait and it will be sweeter and more fragrant. The fruits store quite a long time.
