#20 Silica Sand

This silica sand is the same kind used in our nursery. It is #20 grade so it is coarse enough to provide drainage without becoming compacted which is important for many carnivorous plants. Mexican Butterwort Potting Mix

Our standard Mexican Butterwort Potting Mix works well for most tropical Pinguicula which tend to prefer porous substrates. This mix provides the necessary drainage while helping to maintain neutral to slightly alkaline conditions. Quantities are measured and shipped dry.

Deluxe Mexican Butterwort Potting Mix

This highly porous Mexican butterwort mix contains crushed coral (calcium) making it a good substrate for butterworts that prefer neutral to slightly alkaline substrates. Fill a whole pot with it or use it as a topdressing for similar effect. Quantities are measured and shipped dry.
