Provided the necessary precautions are taken under “Weather Conditions”, we guarantee live plant delivery.
We can only ship orders within the United States at this time.
Carriers & Order Tracking
Orders are shipped USPS Priority or First Class Mail depending on the option selected during checkout. We will email you a tracking number once your order ships.
Handling Time & Delivery
We ship plants year round. To avoid packages sitting in the post office an extra day on Sundays, live plant orders are shipped on Mondays and Wednesdays. Orders placed on Wednesdays after 8 AM EST may be held and shipped the following Monday. If a shipping day falls on a federal holiday and the post office is closed, we will ship either the following day or on the next scheduled shipping day.
During the coldest months (Dec – Feb), our normal flat shipping rate increases from $5 to $14. This increased shipping charge includes a 72-hour heat pack and automatic upgrade to USPS Priority Mail in order to help protect plants from freezing temperatures during transit. We also offer heat packs and Priority shipping as optional upgrades throughout the rest of the year if cold temperatures are in the forecast and strongly recommend including both if temperatures are below 40°F. This includes temperatures both at the sending and receiving end. We cannot guarantee live delivery for temperatures below 40°F if these upgrades aren’t included. Orders containing soil or other non-perishables only will ship at the normal $5 flat rate year round.
In addition, we aren’t responsible for the death or damage of plants left in an excessively hot or cold delivery location for an extended period of time. Please be aware of temperatures at the delivery site and make arrangements with your local carrier for an alternate delivery time or pickup if necessary.
Returns & Refunds
Product photos represent how plants look when mature or during peak growth periods. The plant(s) you receive may vary somewhat in color, shape, and size depending on their age, phase of growth cycle, and light availability. We do our best to note any significant changes on the individual product pages but please keep these variations in mind when ordering.
We also understand adjusting a plant to a new environment and learning its specific needs can be challenging. To assist with this process, we supply planting instructions on our website and in each shipment and are also happy to answer questions via our contact page. Once an order is delivered however, ongoing viability is solely dependent on the customer consistently meeting the plant’s needs.
We do not accept returns for plants or opened items.
Occasionally plants may be damaged or become overly stressed during shipping despite taking the necessary measures outlined in the sections above. If this happens, please notify us within 24 hours of receiving the package with photo documentation and we will offer a refund or replacement as stock allows.

Your account or credit card will be charged when you place your order. If we are not able to fulfill your order for any reason your account or credit card will be refunded. All account and credit card information is kept private and processed securely through PayPal or Braintree depending on the method selected.
