Pinguicula ‘Florian’ is a hybrid between P. debbertiana and P. esseriana. The butterwort was registered as a cultivar in 2004 and is named after the breeder’s oldest son. P. ‘Florian’ produces leaves that become an intense shade of red under strong light. This plant prefers a loose mineral-based substrate that drains easily.

Description

Size and packing method: You will receive a bare root plant about 0.5 inches in diameter, carefully wrapped in a damp paper towel. If selecting with soil mix, you will receive a little over one cup of our prepackaged Mexican Butterwort Potting Mix in addition to the bare root plant. My new little Pinguicula Florian showed up in perfect condition, and has already settled in and caught its first fungus gnat. I definitely plan to order more from this shop!

Super cute and dainty! I bought 5 different “pings” and I love how unique each one is. My “pirouette” caught a fungus gnat two days after I had placed my plants in their new home, which is incredible considering the information says that the “dew” will usually return to the plants after potting within 1-2 weeks. I ordered a package of potting media for each of my 5 pinguiculas, and they give you plenty! I ended up with enough to spare for touch ups or if I have a mishap and spill in the future.

Wow! All I can say! First I wanna say this isn’t a fake review I always get skeptical when reading reviews about if it’s a bot lol. But this thing looks unreal I thought it was fake! It’s definitely real and very tiny about the size of a dime maybe a bit bigger if that. But wow very amazing looking!
