Pinguicula gracilis is a small Mexican Butterwort native to the state of Nuevo León. It was first collected in 1980 and then formally described in 1988 by Sergio Zamudio. P. gracilis produces white flowers with an enlarged bottom lobe that is marked with a greenish-yellow spot. The plant grows well in a mineral-based substrate that drains easily.

    It’s flowering!! I’ve had it a few months and it grew tons of winter leaves and now it’s flowering. It had a rough start spending 10+ days in the mail thanks to the post office but she’s thriving now. The mix is great too! I think it helped it establish really well. I’ve never owned a butterwort and buying from you has been a great experience. I also feel like mine is prettier than others I see online. A mother’s love, right?! Wish I could post a picture to show how well it’s grown and thrived.
