Pinguicula martinezii is a butterwort native to Querétaro, Mexico. The leaves and flowers bear some resemblance to P. agnata, although the flowers are smaller with purple spots. Named after professor and botanist Maximino Martinez, P. martinezii was formally described as a species by Sergio Zamudio in 2005. Please note: Some plants are more green on arrival but will turn reddish with time under intense light.
