Pinguicula moctezumae is a beautiful species of butterwort native to Hidalgo and Queretaro, Mexico. To supplement poor environmental nutrition, the leaves produce sticky droplets via a series of glandular structures which serve to trap and digest insects. P. moctezumae is known for its prolific flowers.

Packed with the utmost care! Received the plant in impeccable condition with two flowers still in bloom! After about a month under lights it has already flowered again! A beautiful and healthy plant.

The plant I received is way bigger than I anticipated. What a treat!

I had a moctezumae happy and healthy for years, but it declined and finally rotted to its final death this summer. I’m SO PLEASED to have another chance with this variety. My shipment included 3 plants — one large, one medium and one small — a nice surprise, thank you! :-)
