Cephalotus follicularis (a.k.a. the Australian or Albany Pitcher Plant) is native to the coastal area of southwestern Australia. The first known reference to the plant is from a diary entry by botanist, Robert Brown, in 1802. The carnivorous pitchers of C. follicularis utilize several tactics for trapping and retaining prey, including semi-transparent “windows” in the lid, bright coloration, nectar, a toothed peristome, and slippery inner walls to name a few. In addition to the carnivorous pitchers, C. follicularis also produces flat, non-carnivorous leaves.

Arrived fast and in perfect condition as always. Look at this huge clump! I only got the small and some of the pitchers are definitely already bigger than I was expecting. Excited for this little guy to take off. Another order from here that has exceeded my expectations, I’ll be back again for more!

Its adorbs and very healthy! Size small is exactly as described. Not a single brown bit, not even a hint. I reached out to them to ask some questions about repotting etc and they promptly replied and answered every question. Great product and great customer service. Also, as a total bonus and what drew me initially is that they are located in the midwest. Why order from across the country when there is a great business with comparable pricing and high quality plants much closer to home!

    A+ packaging and batch!

The packaging is astonishing, and the batch of cephalotus I was given was in peak condition. Very satisfied, and highly recommend anyone looking for cephalotus follicularis seller that this is the place. I am in the Illinois area, and this seller takes place in Loveland Ohio, and the shipment was within 2-3 business days. Currently my cephalotus is in great health with no signs of discoloration and turning red with my lights. I was lucky to not lose any pitchers along the way.

I am very satisfied with Curious Plant and may even buy from them again, very impressed.

Really healthy looking little plant, traps were even bigger than I thought they’d be. Top-notch packaging and really fast shipping!
