Utricularia calycifida is a terrestrial bladderwort native to South America. It produces large leaves with purplish veins that spread easily through sphagnum moss by way of stolons. The subterranean traps of Utricularia are the fastest of all carnivorous plants and can capture prey in less than one millisecond. U. calycifida is a good candidate for terrariums and window sills.
