Pinguicula planifolia is a warm temperate butterwort native to part of Louisiana through the western area of the Florida Panhandle. While it doesn’t form a winter resting bud like some other temperate species, it can tolerate light frost. P. planifolia is considered a short-lived perennial so it is a good idea to propagate plants for long term enjoyment.
