Carnivorous Plant Soil Mix

Carnivorous Plant Soil Mix

$6.00$15.00

(121 customer reviews)

Carnivorous plants need soil that is low in nutrients and allows air to reach the roots while still retaining water. This mix is the same one we use to grow many of the carnivorous plants in our nursery. We recommend it for Venus Flytraps, American Pitcher Plants, Australian Pitcher Plants, Bladderworts and most Sundews. Amounts are measured and shipped dry.

Description

Soil ingredients:

  • Organic Sphagnum Peat Moss
  • Perlite
  • #20 Silica Sand

Soil is free from fertilizer additives. Pre-wet the mix with distilled water before using it to cut down on Perlite dust which is harmful to breathe. Pre-wetting will also make the soil easier to mix and work with when potting plants.

Product may arrive wrapped in an additional layer of recycled plastic reinforced with packing tape to prevent rupture during shipping.

Convenient size and it’s nice to be assured the mix is sterile and correct for the plants.

Came a day late again with FedEx. Maybe next time I’ll do regular delivery and see how that goes. Other then that the item was perfect transplanted my Drosera regia with the new soil mix and its looking good so far.
