Carnivorous plants need soil that is low in nutrients and allows air to reach the roots while still retaining water. This mix is the same one we use to grow many of the carnivorous plants in our nursery. We recommend it for Venus Flytraps, American Pitcher Plants, Australian Pitcher Plants, Bladderworts and most Sundews. Amounts are measured and shipped dry.

- Organic Sphagnum Peat Moss
- Perlite
- #20 Silica Sand
Soil is free from fertilizer additives. Pre-wetting will make the soil easier to mix and work with when potting plants.
Product may arrive wrapped in an additional layer of recycled plastic reinforced with packing tape to prevent rupture during shipping.

Holds moisture great and has no smell to it! Mixing the water into it before planting was helpful to keep the dust down.
