Perlite is a soil aggregate used to improve drainage and soil aeration. Use caution if buying it at the store as it can often contain added fertilizers. Our pre-packaged perlite is free of fertilizers and safe to use for many types of carnivorous plants.
Description
Perlite has the potential to be slightly alkaline. For this reason, we recommend using no more than 1/3 perlite when preparing mixes for acidic-loving carnivorous plants.
Product will arrive wrapped in an additional layer of recycled plastic reinforced with packing tape to prevent rupture during shipping.
