This silica sand is the same kind used in our nursery. It is #20 grade so it is coarse enough to provide drainage without becoming compacted which is important for many carnivorous plants. It also makes an excellent top-dressing to inhibit fungus gnats and help reduce the growth of algae.

Nice large grains for great drainage! Fairly clean and didn’t require a ton of rinsing. Bag broke in transit from the box itself being punctured by USPS; not the fault of Curious Plants.
