Nepenthes albomarginata ‘Penang’ comes from the Penang region of Malaysia. This form produces leaves and pitchers that turn a bronzy red color in stronger light. N. albomarginata received its name from the Latin words albus (white) and marginatus (margin), referring to the white band of trichomes just below the lip of the pitchers. In its natural habitat, the plant uses these trichomes as bate to lure termites into the pitchers. Please note: This plant ships bare root, see size information below.

Size and packing method: Excluding pitchers and tendrils, approximate leafspans are 2 inches for small plants, 3.5 inches for medium plants, and 5.5 inches for large plants. Plants ship bare root.
Growing conditions
Light: Partial to full shade
Growing media: Long-fiber sphagnum moss
Feeding: Feed bugs, dried bloodworms, or fish food every 2-3 weeks, fertilizer such as Osmocote may be added to pitchers sparingly
Humidity: 50-90%
Water: Keep soil damp at all times, provide water that is low in salts and minerals such as rain or distilled water
Temperature: 60-85°F
Dormancy: None
