Nepenthes albomarginata ‘Penang’ comes from the Penang region of Malaysia. This form produces leaves and pitchers that turn a bronzy red color in stronger light. N. albomarginata received its name from the Latin words albus (white) and marginatus (margin), referring to the white band of trichomes just below the lip of the pitchers. In its natural habitat, the plant uses these trichomes as bate to lure termites into the pitchers. Please note: This plant ships bare root, see size information below.

I received my Nepenthes albomarginata ‘Penang’ Pitcher plant last night and potted it up this morning after acclimating it. It was a lot bigger than I expected and had some nice pitchers on it as well. It was professionally packed and shipped well. I would definitely buy again!! It was a pleasure doing business with Curious Plants.
