Description

Size and packing method: You will receive a bare root plant carefully wrapped in a damp paper towel. Small plants are about 1 inch in diameter and medium size plants are about 2 inches in diameter. If selecting with soil mix, you will receive a little over one cup of our prepackaged Mexican Butterwort Potting Mix in addition to the bare root plant. This quantity of soil is roughly enough to fill one 2.5 x 2.5 x 3.5 inch square pot.

Growing requirements

Mature size: 8+ inches in diameter
Light: Partial to full sun or grow light equivalent
Soil: Mexican Butterwort Potting Mix, sand and perlite mix
Feeding: Feed bugs, dried bloodworms, fish food, or diluted foliar fertilizer such as Maxsea every 2-3 weeks

Dormancy: Technically none, however carnivorous leaves are replaced by a smaller succulent rosette for part of the year

Planting and adjustment instructions will be included with your shipment.

The delivery and packing was flawless. This was my first carnivorous purchase and I was a bit nervous but the instructions and process of potting were pretty straightforward, especially if you get the Mexican Butterwort mix soil. It’s been a month since the potting and plant is doing alright with some expected withering. It is already catching some bugs but not as much as my other Pinguicula agnata ‘True Blue’.
