Description

Size and packing method: Plants come potted in 2 inch pots. Each pot contains 2 or more plants. Please note, pygmy sundews are small. This species reaches a maximum of a little less than 1 inch across when mature.

Growing requirements

Mature size: A little less than 1 inch in diameter with flowers nearly the same size
Light: Full sun or grow light equivalent
Soil: Carnivorous Plant Soil Mix, pure peat or peat-sand mix
Feeding: Feed bugs, dried bloodworms, or fish food every 2-3 weeks
Humidity: 50-75%
Water: Keep soil wet during active growth and slightly damp during summer dormancy, provide water that is low in salts and minerals such as rain or distilled water
Temperature: 40-90°F
Dormancy: If kept consistently wet, most pygmy sundews grow well year round and don’t require a dormant period. However, watering less in the summer can help induce dormancy. Shortening the photoperiod in the fall will encourage gemmae production.

Planting and adjustment instructions will be included with your shipment.

It arrived fantastically healthy and quickly went straight back to growing with barely any acclimation. This little guy is probably my most vigorous sundew, even more than capensis! I can’t wait to see its characteristic orange flowers! The photos show it upon arrival and 2 weeks later.
