Drosera graomogolensis is native to Minas Gerais in Brazil. Over time, plants can develop long stems over 12 inches in height as old leaves die away. D. graomogolensis is easy to care for making it a good plant for beginners. The leaves turn wine red under strong light and will appear more pink or green in dimmer conditions. It wasn’t until 1997 that the plant was formally described as a species. See size information below.

GAWD…This plant is THE prize of my collection now. It’s an unearthly beauty. What an incredible, incredible plant. If rubies were grown, this would be this plant they were grown on. It’s a little tree of rubies. The pictures on this site nor mine do not do it justice. And, it is a mover. It wraps around prey as fast as any sundew I’ve seen. The rest of the plants Curious Plants sent me were solid 5 out 5s. I’m not rating the other plants lower because this one demands a new rating system. Add some exponents on the scale and you might get this plant. If I could afford another plant and it wasn’t so cold, I’d buy their entire stock. Second photo is just after it arrived, and the first is it after I took some leaves for propagation and time under a humidity dome.

Arrived in good shape, well packaged, looked almost identical to advertising picture except it had a little surprise to it. It a had a well developed baby graomogolensis growing with it, two for the price of one. Seperated it and it’s doing just fine on it own.
