Drosera magnifica is a tropical sundew discovered only very recently through Facebook of all places! After the unidentified sundew caught the attention of taxonomists on the social platform, it was investigated and formally described as a new species in 2015. Currently only known to grow on a single slope of Pico do Padre Ângelo in Minas Gerais, Brazil, D. magnifica is listed as critically endangered. It is officially one of the largest sundew species in the world with some specimens reaching over 4.5′ tall.
Please see descriptions below for available sizes.

This is the second year that I have ordered plants for my grandson, who grows carnivorous plants in his apartment at college. This is a passion of his….along with aerospace engineering. I have been beyond pleased with the quality of the plants, as well as the personalized customer service. This company goes above and beyond. They often have plants that are almost impossible to find elsewhere, and they arrive healthy and as described. I have to give 2 thumbs up!!!

Excellent plant, professionally packaged. Repeat customer – I have purchased at least five other sundews from CP in the past. The plants are always superb and the packaging is always well done.
