Drosera paradoxa ‘TYPE Form’ is part of the Petiolaris Complex. The plants were originally collected near Theda in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. This form produces an elongated stem with petioles spaced along its length rather than forming a compact rosette like other members of the Petiolaris Complex.

Description

Size and packing method: Plants come potted in 2 inch pots. Each pot contains multiple plants.

Growing requirements

Light: Full sun or grow light equivalent
Mature size: Up to 6 inches tall
Soil: Carnivorous Plant Soil Mix, pure peat, peat-sand mix, or long-fiber sphagnum
Feeding: Feed bugs or dried bloodworms every 2-3 weeks
Humidity: 35-75%
Water: Keep wet at all times during the active growing season, provide water that is low in salts and minerals such as rain or distilled water
Temperature: 45-90°F with warmer temperatures preferred, this species prefers warm roots so a heat mat may also be beneficial
Dormancy: Not essential but if the plant begins to go dormant, reduce watering so the soil remains damp but not waterlogged
