Nepenthes glabrata is known for its small but colorful pitchers. It is native to the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia where it grows in cloud forests at higher elevations. In cultivation, N. glabrata grows best with moderate daytime temperatures and cool nights. With regular pruning, it is a good option for terrariums. Description

Size and packing method: You will receive a bare root plant carefully wrapped in a damp paper towel. Young plants are about 2 inches from one leaf tip to the other and specimen size plants are 4-5 inches from one leaf tip to the other with more mature growth.

Growing conditions

Light: Partial shade
Growing media: Long-fiber sphagnum moss with perlite
Feeding: Feed bugs, dried bloodworms, or fish food every 2-3 weeks, fertilizer such as Osmocote may be added to pitchers sparingly

Water: Keep wet but well drained at all times, provide water that is low in salts and minerals such as rain or distilled water
