Dionaea muscipula ‘Angel Wings’ is quite an unusual Venus flytrap cultivar. The traps of the plant open up to 180 degrees and will often lay flat against the soil with the inner trap surface turning orange, pink, or red in strong light. The teeth are short and may bend or curl in different directions. The cultivar is named after the trap shape which resembles a pair of wings. Traps won’t close completely so supplemental foliar feeding with Maxsea may be beneficial.
