Description

Size and packing method: You will receive a bare root plant about 1 inch in diameter, carefully wrapped in a damp paper towel. If selecting with soil mix, you will receive two cups of our prepackaged Carnivorous Plant Soil Mix in addition to the bare root plant. This quantity of soil is roughly enough to fill one 2.5 x 2.5 x 3.5 inch square pot.

Growing requirements

Light: Full sun or grow light equivalent
Mature size: About 3 inches in diameter
Soil: Carnivorous Plant Soil Mix, pure peat, peat-sand mix, or long-fiber sphagnum
Feeding: Feed bugs, dried bloodworms, fish food, or diluted foliar fertilizer such as Maxsea every 2-3 weeks
Humidity: 35-75%
Water: Keep wet at all times during the active growing season, provide water that is low in salts and minerals such as rain or distilled water
Temperature: 45-90°F with hotter temperatures preferred, this species prefers warm roots so a heat mat may also be beneficial
Dormancy: Dormant during the dry season. Trigger dormancy by reducing the length of the photoperiod for about 3 months. Reduce watering during dormancy and only feed if there is dew on the traps.

Arrived, maybe earlier than I expected I think? And very excited to see that this “Drosera broomensis ‘Taylor’s Lagoon turn off, Kimberley, WA’ & “ Drosera derbyensis x ordensis” that I orderd together came firmly packed and safely sealed so that everything was intact when they arrived. Didn’t look like anything fell out. All in all it was methodically well packed! 👌 This was my 1st 2 plants I got potted from Curious Plant. Not only did I get these 2 I also Got myself 1 “ Pinguicula ehlersiae `Victoria´ & 1 Pinguicula esseriana“ along with the order so that’s 4 Total, and those 2 came wrapped in a damped paper towel inside of a clear HotSouce packet. Smart cuz it fit perfectly.
Just didn’t like the fact that I had orderd like 6-7 different soils 1st hoping it would arrive b4 the flowers but it was the other way around. Even after I order the flowers the following day, was mailed out 2geather and the soils still came a week late. All in all everything was methodically and safely packed! 💯And will still be ordering more in the near future! Not only that I recommend anyone and everyone to Curious Plant! The plants are so Beautiful and very well kept I’m excited to see the growth!🌱
