Drosera capensis, or the Cape Sundew, is a carnivorous plant species forming linear leaves up to 2.5 inches long. It is easy to care for and and may produce plantlets as it grows. The leaves are covered with tentacles (trichomes) that secrete a sticky “dew” to attract and catch prey. The dew also contains enzymes that aid in digestion. Once a leaf traps prey, the bug’s movements trigger the leaf to curl up, introducing more dew and enzymes. Eventually, the plant absorbs all of the nutrients in the bug leaving only the external skeleton.

Very cute Typical. I have purchased many others and all of my plants have been beautiful and healthy. Shipping is always super quick. Sometimes my orders are shipped the same day. This customer is always satisfied.

Arrived safely packed and very healthy. Instructions on how to plant were very helpful. Still in the acclimation stage and already caught its first fly! Haven’t had any issues.

Long roots, looks great, and in two days it’s already working hard on the fungus gnat infestation

Plant was wrapped very carefully and survived shipping very well. I had it potted within 30 min of picking it up and placed in an aquarium with a cover where I could control the humidity. After 2 days I attempted to uncover it and it lost few so I covered it completely and it quickly regained its dew. Plant still looks great and I’m going for a more gradual humidity change.
