Drosera regia, also known as the King Sundew, is an incredible species. It grows long sword-shaped leaves that can wrap multiple times around prey, surrounding it with dew secreting tentacles that are equally impressive in size. Originating from a single valley in South Africa, it is one of the most vulnerable Drosera species in the wild with only a few hundred individuals left in one small colony.

I’m always impressed by Curious Plant’s plants! I’ve ordered plants from other sites that are sad and have 2-3 stalks. This one was 7” tall and had numerous leaves. She is very healthy and growing very well
