Drosera regia, also known as the King Sundew, is an incredible species. It grows long sword-shaped leaves that can wrap multiple times around prey, surrounding it with dew secreting tentacles that are equally impressive in size. Originating from a single valley in South Africa, it is one of the most vulnerable Drosera species in the wild with only a few hundred individuals left in one small colony.

Excellent D. regia specimen. I received a well-grown plant so well-packed, that most of the dew was still intact. The beauty of my plant reflected daily care and packing effort above and beyond average; Curious Plants shows pride and love in the presentation of this quality product. I am happy. Thanks.

Update: I made a review yesterday about this wonderful plant, just wanted to show potential buyers the true beauty of this plant. In 24 hours time, 100% of the dew droplets have recovered and the leaves have uncurled from packaging. This plant truly does make a beautiful addition to any garden.

Absolutely obsessed with this plant. I ordered a normal potted plant (1.5-2inch leaf length) and I was shocked to see that nearly all of my leaves are 4+ inches in length. The plant is in beyond expected condition. I ordered this plant approximately 4 days ago, it was processed and shipped to me very quickly. It was package so safely and secured, that it actually accumulated some new sprouts while in shipment. Many of the tentacle droplets were still intact, the plant actually caught a mosquito within 5 minutes of being out of the package! It has a healthy red/green hue throughout the plant that is truly gorgeous. I am currently trying CuriousPlant’s bag tactic to help the plant adjust to my humidity. All around, the plant looks phenomenal and I look forward to my next purchase with this website.
