Drosera capensis ‘Narrow Red Leaf’ is a Cape Sundew that turns red under strong light. During the winter or in lower lighting conditions, the plants will revert to producing mostly green foliage. The leaves are covered with tentacles (trichomes) that secrete a sticky “dew” containing enzymes to attract, catch, and digest prey. Cape Sundews are easy to care for making them a good plant for beginners.

When I ordered this plant it arrived dry and as a result died very quickly. I reached out about the issue expecting this to be a casualty of the postal system but the owner, Elizabeth, messaged me back to apologize and sent out a replacement plant that day! I couldn’t be happier with the new plant and I’m so beyond pleased with my experience with this company!

I would have given a 5 but I didn’t receive notification of shipment in my email.

Thank you for the feedback, James. Our system was having some troubles sending emails the day your order shipped but the issue is resolved now. We apologize for the inconvenience.
